Why It’s So Effective
Traditional swamp coolers (aka drip or pad-type coolers) have to suck air through a large wet pad. Imagine how hard it would be to breathe through a soaking wet blanket; that is what swamp coolers have to do. They have to be very large and work extremely hard to generate meaningful output.
Misting fans work by forcing high pressure water through extremely small orifices. This process produces inconsistent droplet sizes, many of which are too large to evaporate so they fall to the ground and surrounding areas become wet. For that reason, they are only appropriate for outdoor settings where moisture won’t damage anything or create hazardous conditions.

Evaporative Cooling Explained
Evaporative cooling occurs when water vapor is introduced into the air. The energy needed to evaporate the water is taken from the air in the form of sensible heat. Essentially the heat is removed from the air to facilitate the process of evaporation, effectively decreasing the air temperature. This is why we feel a chill when climbing out of a swimming pool on a windy day and why the air is typically a few degrees cooler near a large body of water.
CULER harnesses this phenomenon in the most efficient way ever and incorporates it into a commercially available cooling product.
